BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The PAY Soccer Program was established in 2004 and is still the most popular sport during our athletic period today. The children are constantly setting up exhibition games between each other and even mini tournaments within PAY. Overall the members are extremely talented in the sport of soccer and improve their skill level though a combination of drills, modified games and actual game play.

GOALS OF THE PROGRAM

  • To improve overall skill level in the sport of soccer
  • To be physically active in a fun manner
  • To instill values such as teamwork, positive attitude and leadership
  • To compete in various tournaments
  • To be able to enter a PAY team in a soccer league

FUTURE OF THE TEAM

The athletes that partake in the PAY Soccer program are gifted with natural talent and a hard work ethic. However, we are suffering from a lack of organization and financial support to enter a league or even participate in more tournaments. The Head of Sports Programming goal is to eventually create a skilled team that will work as a unit to be competitive in an actual league. He plans on coaching both a boys and girls soccer team with lots of help from team leaders, captains and other volunteers.
